Turning Experience into Engineering

Originally trained as an agricultural mechanic, he began his career as a forklift technician, later spent several years teaching at a high school, and then served as a technical foreman.

A couple years ago, he took the leap into ROV engineering at Kystdesign—driven by a mix of excitement and nerves.

«Going from being the one with all the answers to the one asking all the questions was a shift, but a good one», Lars Johan says.

Today, he’s busy drawing new products, improving existing products, and testing components, often using 3D printing.

When he’s not at work, you’ll likely find him spending time with his family, including his sons and grandchild. Whether they’re fixing up the old tractor, tending the garden, cycling, hiking, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Lars Johan is also an active contributor to local community projects!

We’re lucky to have him as a part of our team and can’t wait to see how his skills continue to shape Kystdesign.
