Mechanic Terje Has Helped Deliver More Than 40 TMS Systems

Over the past three years, Terje Wahlberg has helped deliver more than 40 TMSs from Kystdesign.

Originally trained as an automotive mechanic, Terje had also spent several years working as an ROV pilot before returning to the automotive industry. Eventually, he felt it was time for something new. When the opportunity to join Kystdesign as a mechanic came up, he decided to give it a shot.

Since then, the company has grown significantly. When Terje started, Kystdesign were around 40 employees. Today, we’ve surpassed 100 employees.

«It’s been exciting to be part of that growth and see the move into the new facilities», he says.

Tether Management Systems
Terje is responsible for the assembly of Kystdesign’s Tether Management Systems (TMS). Together with his team, he oversees the build of every unit delivered.

Over the past three years, he has personally been involved in delivering more than 40 TMS units.

A typical workday revolves around planning, assembly, and ensuring that each system is completed to the required standards. What he enjoys most is the combination of variety, independence, and working with technology he finds interesting.

The products are exciting, the work is varied, and it’s a clean and well-organized workplace. I also appreciate the flexibility to plan my own days.

Family life, cars and bikes
Outside of work, life revolves around family, spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys cars, motorcycles, and mountain biking whenever he gets the chance.

Three years in, Terje continues to play an important role in delivering the systems that support Kystdesign’s ROV deliveries, and we’re happy to have him as part of the team.
