Two years ago, Julie Stakland Wee brought her expertise in electronics to Kystdesign.
Today, she’s building and testing advanced ROV systems—thriving on variety, fast-paced work, and daily challenges!
She hadn’t heard much about Kystdesign before joining, but a recommendation from her father led her to apply—a decision she’s never regretted. Julie loves her job, describing it as exciting, hands-on, and diverse. No two days are the same, and she genuinely looks forward to coming to work.
At the electronics workshop, she has worked on assembling a wide range of components, mainly focusing on building pods for ROVs. These vital electronic housings receive signals from the surface and control the ROV’s operations—an essential part of every system.
Looking ahead, Julie sees a bright future at Kystdesign, with a packed schedule of new projects and exciting challenges. She thrives when things get busy and values being part of a company that truly cares for its employees.
Outside of work, she balances an active family life with her passion for fitness. She trains regularly and leads a local outdoor strength group, staying active and enjoying the team spirit both at work and in her free time.
